Dr. Joseph Breault earned his Doctor of Medicine degree, Master's in Public Health degree in tropical medicine, and Doctor of Science degree in health systems management at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed a residency in family medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center in New York City within the residency program in social medicine. He worked for the Indian Health Service in South Dakota prior to joining the staff at Ochsner in 1992. Dr. Breault is board-certified in family medicine. His interests include geriatrics, preventive medicine, and assisting patients in understanding their end-of-life options. He is a senior staff physician and associate professor with the University of Queensland and Ochsner Clinical School.
