Dr. Townsend earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University. He then completed his surgical internship, residency and fellowship at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Townsend is board certified in Surgery and holds a certificate of added qualifications in Surgical Critical Care. His areas of expertise include general and gastrointestinal surgery, trauma, critical care, surgical infections and intraabdominal sepsis.
