Janet (Jan) White received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from California State University Sacramento and practiced Critical Care Nursing for 12 years, including 4 years as a critical care nurse in the Army Nurse Corps. She received her Masters in Nursing from Loyola University in New Orleans and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Prior to joining the Infectious Disease Department at Ochsner in 2014, Jan practiced Primary Care at St. Thomas Community Health Center in New Orleans. Jan also holds a law degree from Tulane as well as a Master in Laws degree in Medical Law from the University of Glasgow.
