Overview

  • Dr. Beth Arredondo is board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology. She completed a B.S. in psychology at Louisiana State University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. She completed a general internship and postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA. For five years post-training, Dr. Arredondo directed the Division of Behavioral Medicine at Western State Hospital in Staunton, VA, and co-directed the clinical neuropsychology residency with faculty at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She also maintained part-time positions at the Forensic Clinic of the Institute of Law, Psychiatry, and Public Policy and Valley MedPsych. Dr. Arredondo joined the Ochsner team in 2017 and is actively engaged in clinical work, forensic work, and research. Clinical populations of interest include individuals with a wide range of neurological and psychiatric concerns. Forensic work spans criminal and civil forensic settings. Her research interests involve the use and utility of neuropsychology in various settings, with particular emphasis on psychiatric inpatient, criminal forensics, and general neurology. She is actively involved in professional service, with current service positions in national neuropsychology and forensic psychology organizations.
