Dr. Cristal Brown earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then completed an internal medicine residency at Duke Health System. Dr. Brown also completed a gastroenterology fellowship and a transplant hepatology fellowship at Duke Health System. She is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
