Abstract
Pulmonary valve endocarditis is an uncommon complication of a double-chambered right ventricle. A persistent cough is an atypical presentation for a double-chambered right ventricle, and in this patient it was the result of pulmonary valve bacterial endocarditis with eventual bacterial vegetation embolization to the lung. Our patient underwent surgical repair of all cardiac defects, which resulted in the resolution of all of her symptoms. (Ann Thorac Surg 2010;89:1299-300) (C) 2010 by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons
