Dr. Alahari was born and raised in India. She received her medical degree from Siddhartha Medical College at Health Science University and did her medical internship at the University General Hospital. Dr. Alahari is coming to Ochsner Baton Rouge with 20 years of pediatric experience in North Carolina. Dr. Alahari worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Duke University Medical Center and the University of North Carolina School of Medicine before specializing in Primary Care Pediatrics. She completed her residency at Brookdale University Medical Center, an affiliate of SUNY, Brooklyn, in June 2000. After pediatric training, Dr. Alahari was in private pediatric practice by establishing and managing two pediatric offices until joining Ochsner Baton Rouge.Dr. Alahari is board certified in Pediatrics and has been a Fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics since 2001. She is affiliated with University of NC, Duke University , East Carolina University and Campbell University schools for the training of students in Primary Care Pediatrics. She enjoys working with children and their families and watching them grow healthy under her guidance. Dr. Alahari has a special interest in growth and development, asthma management and ADHD. Dr. Alahari loves traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
