Dr. Waldo is a board certified family physician who has worked at Ochsner since 1993. Prior to that, he established a private family practice in Hammond, LA in 1984 with Dr. Michael Dunn. This practice joined Ochsner in 1993.
Dr. Waldo moved to the emergency room at Ochsner's main campus (on Jefferson Highway) in 2000. He continued his work in this capacity until 2018, contributing to an improvement in the speed of the ER's intake procedure. He has mostly retired since 2019, but still works part-time in the urgent care North Shore clinics.
Dr. Waldo was listed in New Orleans Magazine as a Top Doctor during his time in both family medicine and emergency medicine with Ochsner.
His passions include golf, tournament bridge, saltwater fishing, and tending his gardens.
