After completing her undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Meghan Klavans received her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. She also completed her masters in business administration at Tulane University. She completed her Internship and Residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia. During her training, she received the Outstanding Laparoscopic Resident Award and the Outstanding Physician Award, voted for by the nursing staff. After completing her training, she joined the faculty at University of Virginia Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Her research interests include long acting reversible contraception and human papilloma virus. She is passionate about improving the quality of patient care and experience. Dr. Klavans practices all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, with a special interest in prenatal care, women's health, uterine fibroids, minimally invasive and vaginal surgery.
