Dr. Jorge Garces earned his medical degree from the University of the Valley Division of Health Sciences in Columbia, South America. He completed his internship and residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center/MCP-Hahnemann University. He completed his nephrology fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center/Thomas Jefferson University Hospital followed by his transplant nephrology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Garces is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology and has been on staff at Ochsner since 2002.
