Dr. Maricelle Ong graduated from University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila, Philippines. Dr. Ong completed her residency in Family Medicine at LSU Health Science Center in Kenner, Louisiana. She is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine in July 2011 with special interests in Pediatrics and Obstetrics. After more than a decade in mission work, Dr. Ong came to New Orleans post Katrina to start residency training and to give excellent health care to the community. She has been a Missionary Physician for more than 12 years and acting also as the Assistant Medical Director at the Italian Camillian Sisters of Antipolo. Dr. Ong has been working at the Urgent Care Centers since September 2011. She has received awards and recognitions as Intern of the Year nominee, interim LSU Public Hospital; June 2009. Neonate, Infant Children's Outstanding Resident- LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans Family Medicine; June 2010 and June 2011. Dr. Ong is fluent in English and Tagalog and can speak the basics in Spanish & Chinese Fookien.
