Shelby Bateman received her bachelor of science in nursing degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. She then earned her master of science in nursing degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. She is dual certified as a family nurse practitioner and adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner by the AANP and ANCC. Shelby has been on staff with Ochsner since 2020. Prior to joining Ochsner's hospital medicine team, Shelby worked as a registered nurse for seven years in critical care and post-operative settings.
