Lisa Alleman received her Master of Medical Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2009. She gained national certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in June 2009. Lisa's undergraduate studies include Bachelor of Health Science and Associate of Science in Cardiopulmonary Care. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, she worked as a registered respiratory therapist for 14 years with the last 10 years specializing in neonatal intensive care.
Lisa joined Ochsner Health in the Rheumatology Department in July 2009. She sees patients with many different rheumatological conditions but has a special clinical interest in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, gout, and osteoporosis.
Lisa is a member of several organizations including the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers, Rheumatology Alliance of Louisiana, The Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants, and Rheumatology Nurses Society.
