Dr. Elaine Kao received her Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Following this, she completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Tulane University in New Orleans. Dr. Kao is board certified by American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been an Ochsner Participating Partner since 2020 and practicing medicine since 2013. Dr. Kao has special interests in contraception, abnormal pap smears, hormonal disorders, menstrual disorders, and minimally invasive surgery. Outside of work, Dr Kao can be found practicing yoga, traveling and exploring the outdoors.
