Dr. Garcia-Prats earned his medical degree from Tulane. He completed his surgical internship and residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and an emergency medicine residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He is board certified in emergency medicine and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1982.
