Dr. Lam earned a bachelor's degree of science in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude. He earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, where he held a membership in the honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his internal medicine residency at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia followed by his cardiology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he was a fellow representative in his senior year.
Dr. Lam is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine - Cardiovascular Disease, the Board of Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and National Board of Echocardiography. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society. Dr. Lam has a personal interest in healthy aging and longevity.
