Dr. Hevia earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville and completed his internship and residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Hevia has been on staff at Ochsner since the Summer of 2003.During his tenure, Dr. Hevia has served as the department's Medical Director, Residency Coordinator, and Ultrasound Coordinator. He currently is the Director of Billing and Coding and is active nationally in that capacity.
