Dr. Derek Anderson received a Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. He completed a Family Medicine Residency at St. Joseph's Hospital located in Syracuse, NY. Throughout his career, Dr. Anderson has operated as a faculty member at Baton Rouge General, served as Program Director of Baton Rouge General's Residency Program, and maintained a private practice. He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Anderson also serves as the primary care team physician for the Louisiana State University athletic department. His special areas of interest include Family and Sports Medicine.
