Overview
- Dr. Nigel Girgrah received both his medical degree and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. He has specialist certification in both gastroenterology and internal medicine with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He completed further research training in hepatology in the area of portal hypertension and his clinical expertise is in end-stage liver disease and transplant hepatology. Dr. Girgrah's clinical and research areas of interest include recurrent viral disease post-liver transplantation and living donation liver transplantation. He served as Director of Education for the Multi-Organ Transplant Program at the University Health Network in Toronto for several years.
