Scott Dufrene earned his social work degree from Louisiana State University in 1996. He received his state license for social work in 1998. He has worked in psychiatric social work since 1996 in New Orleans, Thibodaux, and Baton Rouge areas. He has served patients at different levels of care including inpatient, day hospitalization, and outpatient.
Scott counsels clients dealing with depression, anxiety, panic, grief, substance abuse, marital conflict, and stress. He has worked with bariatric patients on a preoperative and postoperative basis since 2008. He utilizes cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented, and 12-step techniques.
