Dr. John Brannon Alberty received his medical degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 1999. He went on to complete his internship and residency at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He completed his fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville. He was chief of pediatric gastroenterology at Our Lady of the Lake Children's hospital from 2007 to 2019.Dr. Alberty is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics- Gastroenterology and has been on staff at Ochsner since December of 2019 and practicing medicine since 1999. Dr. Alberty performs all general pediatric gastroenterology procedures. He has a special clinical interest in gastric inlet patch ablation and fecal microbiota transplant. Dr. Alberty enjoys goofing off with his family in his free time.
