Dr. Douglas Swift earned his doctor of medicine from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Swift has a master's of science in public health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. He is a past member of the board of directors of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and served 3 times as president of the Mid South Occupational and Environmental Medicine Association. Dr. Swift is also a clinical associate professor in the School of Medicine and School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine as well as the School of Medicine at Tulane University. Dr. Swift has been in full time practice specializing in occupational medicine since October 1980. His special interests include occupational disease and injury prevention, occupational and environmental toxicology and distance based learning. Dr. Swift is fluent in Spanish and English.
