Melissa received a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. Prior to joining the Ochsner team, Melissa worked in pain management and cardiology/electrophysiology as a family nurse practitioner. Additionally, she completed several clinical rotations in internal medicine, women's health, pediatrics and community health. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Louisiana Nurse Practitioner Association.
