Dr. Monique Hamilton is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She earned her medical degree from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Following graduation, she completed her residency at Ochsner and then began her private practice in New Orleans. In 2011 she was recognized as one of the Top 25 Most Influential African American Physicians in the New Orleans area.
Dr. Hamilton is involved with several medical societies and community organizations and lectures frequently in the community on women's education and health issues. Her special interests include routine and moderate risk obstetrics and advanced laparoscopic surgery including total laparoscopic hysterectomy and laparoscopic adnexal surgery.
