Dr. Ratnakar Pernenkil specializes in cardiology and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been on staff at Ochsner since July 2020.
Dr. Pernenkil received his medical degree from Rangaraya Medical College in Kakinada in 1988 and completed his internship and residency at the University Hospital of West Indies in Kingston. He then completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Barnes-Jewish Hospital - Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
