Dr. Eileen M. Palace received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Whitman College in Washington State. Following this, she completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia, and completed her internship in the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology at Tulane University School of Medicine. The same year, she joined the faculty as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She was promoted to Associate Professor in four departments at the Tulane University School of Medicine: Psychiatry and Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urology, and Surgery. She was also appointed Director of the Tulane Center for Sexual Health, which she founded at Tulane University Hospital and Clinic. Dr. Palace served as President and Director of a private research and clinical practice, The Center for Sexual Health, for 20 years. She has over 29 years of research, teaching and clinical experience. Dr. Palace is a member of eight medical and scientific societies, has served as principal investigator for 48 pharmaceutical studies and authored 7 publications and chapters. She has given over 60 presentations and invited lectures for societies and national and international conferences. She has been the "Relationship Expert" for WWL-TV Channel 4 Morning News for 10 years. Dr. Palace is a team member of The Women's Wellness and Survivorship Center at Ochsner Baptist but continues to see both men and women for treatment. Her specialty is men and women's sexual health, sexual psychophysiology and marital therapy, in addition to general psychological disorders such as depressed mood, anxiety, chronic pain, infertility, and psychophysiological disorders. In her spare time she enjoys aiding rescue animals, boating, and exploring wildlife.
