Dr. Syed completed his medical education from Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his residency from Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Boston, MA. Post residency completion he pursued his passion of serving those in need by working for a medically underserved community near Boston. He later moved to Cleveland and worked for Cleveland Clinic Foundation as an Assistant Professor in the Internal Medicine Department. Passionate about medicine, Dr. Syed trained medical residents at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and taught medical student at the Case Western Reserve University and Lerner College of Medicine.For fellowship, he joined the Sleep Medicine Fellowship Program at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Based on his academic achievements, he was nominated as a Chief Fellow. He specializes in various sleep disorders.Dr. Syed has over 10 years of clinical experience and has received multiple recognitions: Awarded Fellow of American College of Physician, Best Clinical Preceptor for Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Nominated as the top Doctor of Cleveland. Dr. Syed views patient care as a partnership between a physician and the patient. This partnership should be based on mutual respect and shared decision-making. In his view, quality patient care comes by listening to the patient and keeping the patient involved throughout the care process.
