Blythe received her bachelor of science in nursing and doctor of nursing practice degrees from Loyola University New Orleans. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a family nurse Practitioner. Prior to joining the pulmonary services team at Ochsner in 2019, she worked in nephrology (kidney medicine) and internal medicine.
