Dr. Jacklyn Ruhl earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at West Virginia University (WVU) / Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) in Charleston, West Virginia, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Ruhl has been licensed in Louisiana since 2016 and has been practicing at Ochsner Health since that time. Dr. Ruhl specializes in individual and group therapy for adults relating to stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, and personality issues. She is trained to provide services related to CBT, ACT, DBT, CPT, PE, and CBT-i. Dr. Ruhl also specializes in non-forensic psychological evaluations, which include psychodiagnostic and presurgical assessments.
