Cindy Chava received her Master of Health Sciences degree in physician assistant studies from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina in 2011. Following graduation, she worked in the department of otorhinolaryngology at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. She joined the department of endocrinology at Ochsner in 2013 and transitioned to the department of hospital medicine at Ochsner in 2016. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Cindy worked as a registered dietitian for five years. She currently specializes in hospital medicine and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
