Dr. Jeffrey S. Freyder is a fellowship trained Sports Medicine Orthopaedic Surgeon. He completed his premedical studies at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, with a degree in Biology. He then attended Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana earning his medical degree. Following medical school, he moved to Michigan completing residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Western Michigan University School of Medicine / Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. After residency, Dr. Freyder obtained further subspecialty training as a Sports Medicine Fellow at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Fellowship training provided additional knowledge and expertise in both arthroscopic and open management of shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle injuries, management of cartilage injuries with cartilage repair/replacement.As a fellow, Dr. Freyder was an assistant team physician with The University of Missouri (Mizzou) football team.
