I became a family doctor because I love the variety and challenge of treating all ages and conditions. I also enjoy developing a long term relationship with my patients and becoming part of that patient's team working to improve his or her health. I am a proponent of patient education and empowerment and love teaching my patients how they can improve their own health. I have been a Board certified family medicine clinician since 2002. I am a native of New Orleans and proud to practice in the city I love.Dr. Hammons treats a wide range of typical primary care-urgent care to chronic conditions and provides wellness exams. She also performs joint injections and minor skin procedures. Dr. Hammons is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.
